A hagyomány szerint az esküvőt követően az ifjú pár a nászéjszakát nem töltheti a palotában. Meghan és Harry így is tett és a ceremónia után elvonultak valahová (a hely mindmáig ismeretlen). Katalin és Vilmos azonban az éjjelt a palotában töltötték, mivel csak 10 nappal később utaztak a Seychelle-szigetekre nászútra.
Nem nagy vétek, de ha ezt Meghan és Harry csinálták volna, biztos nem évekkel később derült volna ki.
